TERMS AND CONDITIONS

These terms apply to the use of connwebstudio.com.au and to the services provided by Conn Web Studio (ABN 82 975 957 314).
By using this website or buying a service, you agree to these terms.
In these terms, "we", "us" and "our" means Conn Web Studio. "You" means the person or business using our website or buying our services.
1. OUR SERVICES
We currently provide:
Website Design — custom Squarespace websites, from $2,800 for The Website and from $4,500 for The Website + Systems.
Website Health Check — a written technical review of an existing website, $175.
Website Care Plan — ongoing monthly website maintenance and support, $199 per month.
All prices are in Australian dollars. We are not currently registered for GST, so no GST is charged. If this changes we'll update our pricing and tell existing clients before it takes effect.
Prices listed on this website are indicative. The price for a website project is confirmed in writing in a proposal before work begins.
2. WEBSITE DESIGN PROJECTS
Quotes and proposals
Every website design starts with a written proposal setting out what's included and what it costs. A proposal is valid for 30 days.
Payment
A 50% deposit is payable to book your build slot. The remaining 50% is payable before the website goes live. Invoices are due within 7 days.
We may pause work on a project if an invoice is overdue.
Scope
The proposal defines the scope. Anything outside it — extra pages, extra revision rounds, new features, or a change of direction after design has begun — will be quoted separately and approved by you in writing before we start.
If the scope doesn't change, the price doesn't change.
Timelines
Standard builds take 3–4 weeks. Builds with systems and integrations take 5–6 weeks. These timelines start from the date we receive all your content, not from the date you pay the deposit.
Delays in providing content, feedback, or account access will extend the timeline. We'll tell you when that happens.
Your responsibilities
To deliver on time, we need from you:
Your text content, or notes we can work from
Images, or a budget for stock imagery
Your logo and brand files, if you have them
Access to any accounts we need
Feedback within 7 days at each review point
Revisions
The Website includes two rounds of revisions. The Website + Digital Foundations includes three. A revision round means one consolidated set of feedback. Additional rounds are quoted separately.
Cancellation
If you cancel a project after work has begun, the deposit is non-refundable. It covers the time already spent and the build slot held for you.
If we cancel a project, we'll refund any amounts paid for work not yet completed.
3. WEBSITE HEALTH CHECKS
Health Checks are $175, payable upfront. Your written report is delivered within 2 business days of purchase.
You must provide a valid, publicly accessible website address at checkout.
If we can't access or review your website — for example, if it's password protected, offline, or you've given us an address that doesn't work — we'll contact you. If we can't proceed, we'll refund you in full.
Because a Health Check is a report prepared specifically for you, refunds aren't available once the report has been delivered, except where required under the Australian Consumer Law.
A Health Check is a review and a set of recommendations. Implementing them is your responsibility, or can be quoted as separate work.
If you go ahead with a website build within 30 days of receiving your report, we'll credit the $175 against the project.
4. WEBSITE CARE PLANS
What's included
A Care Plan covers, each month:
A full health check of your website
Small updates and edits, generally those taking under one hour each
Priority support
A written monthly summary
What's not included
New pages, redesigns, new booking or payment systems, large content projects, and anything amounting to a new build. These are quoted separately, at a discounted rate for Care Plan clients.
Billing
Care Plans are $199 per month, billed monthly in advance. There is no minimum term and no lock-in contract.
Payment is by automatic recurring charge to the card you provide. If a payment fails we'll contact you. If it remains unpaid after 7 days, the plan may be suspended until payment is made.
Cancellation
You can cancel at any time, by email or from your account. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing month, and you won't be charged after that.
Part-months are not refunded. You keep access to the plan until the end of the month you've paid for.
We may cancel a Care Plan with 30 days' notice.
New clients
If we didn't build your website, we'll run a full Health Check in your first month at no additional cost, so we know what we're looking after.
Response times
We aim to respond the same business day for anything urgent, and within 2 business days for everything else. Our business hours are Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays.
5. OWNERSHIP AND ACCOUNTS
You own your website, your domain, your content, and your accounts. They stay in your name from the start.
Your Squarespace subscription is paid by you, directly to Squarespace, unless we've agreed otherwise in writing.
We may add a small credit link in your website footer, and we may show your website in our portfolio and on social media. Tell us if you'd prefer we didn't, and we won't.
You confirm that any content, images, or logos you give us are yours to use, or that you have permission to use them. We aren't responsible for claims arising from content you provide.
Once a project is paid in full, the website design as delivered is yours. Any templates, code, or processes we use across multiple clients remain ours.
6. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES
Your website may rely on third-party services — Squarespace, booking systems, payment providers, email platforms. These have their own terms, pricing, and availability. We aren't responsible for their performance, outages, price changes, or discontinuation.
Ongoing subscription costs for these services are yours, not ours, unless we've agreed otherwise in writing.
7. WHAT WE DON'T GUARANTEE
We build websites carefully and test them before launch. We can't guarantee specific business outcomes — search rankings, traffic, enquiries, or sales. Too much of that depends on factors outside a website.
We can't guarantee your website will be free of every error or available without interruption. Hosting and uptime are provided by Squarespace.
8. LIABILITY
To the extent permitted by law, our liability for any claim relating to our services is limited to the amount you paid us for that service.
We aren't liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost profits, lost data, or lost business opportunities.
9. AUSTRALIAN CONSUMER LAW
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any guarantee, right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law.
Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded. Where we fail to meet a consumer guarantee, you're entitled to a remedy under the law regardless of anything stated here.
10. USING THIS WEBSITE
The content on this website — text, images, design, and code — belongs to Conn Web Studio. You may view and share it, but not copy, reproduce, or reuse it commercially without our written permission.
This website links to other websites, including those of our clients. We're not responsible for their content.
We try to keep the information on this website accurate and current, but we don't guarantee it's complete or error-free.
11. PRIVACY
We handle personal information in line with our Privacy Policy, available on this website.
12. CHANGES TO THESE TERMS
We may update these terms from time to time. The current version is always on this page.
Changes don't affect projects already underway or Care Plans already running — those continue under the terms that applied when they started, until they end or renew.

If something goes wrong, contact us first. Email hello@connwebstudio.com.au and we'll work with you to sort it out.
These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia.
