A few years ago, I found myself unemployed, pregnant and trying to work out what came next after losing my brother unexpectedly.
One day, I came across a friend's Instagram story about her business and offered to build her a website.
That one project changed everything.
I built her website, but also helped set up her Google Business Profile, professional email, domain and the behind the scenes foundations that helped her business run smoothly.
Seeing how much it transformed her business gave me the confidence to restart my own. I initially relaunched Conn Virtual Solutions, drawing on the more than 13 years I'd spent in administration.
It didn't take long to realise that websites and digital foundations were what I was most passionate about. So I made the decision to specialise.
Conn Virtual Solutions became Conn Web Studio. After completing four websites, I decided to back myself fully and build the business I wanted to be known for.
Today, I help small businesses with websites that work for them, plus Website Health Checks and ongoing Care Plans so things keep running smoothly long after launch.

Working for myself means I get to do work I love while raising four kids.
You'll usually find me with a coffee in hand, organising something or paying attention to the little details.
Being a perfectionist definitely comes in handy when you're building websites. 😂
Good design is only part of it.
I care just as much about what happens around the website as what happens on the screen.
I notice the details.
My administration background taught me to spot the little things, keep information accurate and make sure the pieces connect.
I keep things clear.
