How much does a website cost?
Builds start at $2,800 and most land between $2,800 and $4,500 depending on how many pages you need and whether you need bookings, payments or a shop. You'll get a fixed price in writing before anything starts. I don't do hourly, and I don't do surprises.
How long does it take?
3–4 weeks for a standard build, 5–6 if you need systems and integrations. That clock starts the day your content is with me, not the day you pay the deposit. Content is the single biggest cause of delays.
What if I don't have photos or written content?
Very common. Tell me on the call and we'll plan for it. I can work from rough notes, recommend a local photographer, or point you at stock that won't look like stock.
What if I don't like the design?
That's what revisions are for. You'll see the site at two checkpoints before launch, and every package includes at least two rounds of changes. In practice we sort the direction early, so nobody gets a nasty surprise at the end.
What happens if you're unwell or away?
Fair question when you're hiring one person. Your Squarespace account is always in your name, so you're never locked out of your own site. If something urgent comes up during a build I'll tell you straight away and give you a revised date rather than going quiet.
Why Squarespace and not WordPress?
Because you can run it yourself. WordPress needs plugins, updates, hosting and security handled by someone, and that someone ends up being a monthly bill. Squarespace bundles all of it. It's not right for everything. If you're selling serious volume, I'll tell you to look at Shopify instead.
I already have a website. Can you redesign it?
Yes. A rebuild works the same way as a new build, same process, same inclusions, just replacing an existing site rather than launching a first one. If you're not sure whether you need a rebuild, start with a Health Check.
What is a Health Check?
A technical review of your existing website: speed, mobile experience, SEO basics, broken links, forms and integrations. So you know exactly what's holding your site back before spending money on a rebuild. $175, written report in 2 business days.
Do I need to book a call for a Health Check?
No. You can purchase a Health Check online. Pop in your website URL and payment through the Health Check page, and I'll send your written report back within 2 business days.
Do you work with businesses outside Echuca and Moama?
Yes. I'm based in Echuca, but I work with small businesses right across Australia, entirely remotely.
Do you work in person or remotely?
Both. If you're in Echuca or Moama we can meet for a coffee. Everyone else, it's video calls and email, which is how most of my projects run anyway, including local ones.
